The 2016 DAISY in Training Award was received by Brooklyn Steinfeld. This student is an exceptionally compassionate and caring person. To demonstrate this compassion; recently there was a situation where a critically ill patient was dying and her family was not able to be with her. Brooklyn had not cared for the patient that day, but asked if she could be with the patient so she would not be alone. She held her hand and reassured her in her final moments. We are proud to honor and recognize her for her compassion, kindness, and sensitivity to all with whom she interacts.
