He played a pivotal role as the project manager and primary author of our Beacon Award application.
Bryan has demonstrated outstanding leadership since he started his ANM role. He has an unwavering commitment to the success of our team. He approaches every challenge, no matter how urgent or complex, without hesitation. One of his greatest strengths is the trust and confidence he has earned from the staff. Our nurses feel incredibly comfortable approaching him, and they frequently comment on how supported and guided they feel under his leadership. His contributions to our unit extend well beyond daily operations. He played a pivotal role as the project manager and primary author of our Beacon Award application. He formed a small team of writers, coordinated their assignments, organized timelines, and ensured the final product was cohesive and accurate and that it reflected the high-level care we provide. He is also an active member of our Magnet writing team and has written numerous letters and narratives highlighting the achievements of our nurses, physicians, and interdisciplinary colleagues. Bryan has also created (independently) a blood culture survey to improve awareness and decision-making around blood- culture collections. A patient experience survey specific to our cardiac ICU, a welcome folder for our new patients aimed to increase familiarity with our leadership team, and an ICU Skills night to reinforce ICU nursing management (crash cart, codes, identifying rhythms). His motivation to learn, grow, and contribute to this unit is unmatched. He is an amazing person, a fantastic nurse, and an excellent leader.
