My story is that, unfortunately, I became ill very quickly and was transported by the paramedics to UCI. I received emergency procedures in the cath lab and was transferred to the ICU. During my stay in the ICU, I received very good care from all the nurses who were taking care of me. I would like to express my deepest appreciation to all the nurses in the ICU. I am writing this nomination for a nurse who went above and beyond what I could have ever expected in good care. This nurse is Bryan. Bryan has demonstrated that he meets all the criteria to be recognized for a DAISY nomination. I have found Bryan to be caring, attentive, patient, and very knowledgeable. He has made a positive difference in my stay at UCI. As a patient, it is always very uncomfortable and scary to be in the hospital. Bryan has made me feel comfortable and secure. He has demonstrated a positive attitude, compassion, and skills in his profession that I will always remember. I appreciate that he is very thorough and organized, he is very clean, and has helped me by coordinating my concerns and medical history with doctors. Therefore, I would like to express my deepest appreciation to Bryan for his excellent care. My hope is that Bryan would be the recipient of the DAISY Award because he deserves it. Thank you.
