My family and I know that when she is working, I am in good hands. There is an immediate sense of safety, trust, and relief knowing she will be my nurse. Her peers speak highly of her, admire her dedication, and recognize the genuine love she has for her patients and the nursing profession.
Over the past four months, as I have faced crisis after crisis in my life—along with other medical conditions—I have been in and out of the hospital during these difficult times. It has been a true blessing for my family and me to know she would be my night nurse.
Her presence brings comfort, calm, and reassurance. I am able to relax and feel safe knowing she is there, providing care with compassion, skill, and selflessness to her patients and to me.
She is more than a nurse. She is a source of strength, comfort, and hope, and she truly represents the heart of nursing. When fear, depression, and moments of hopelessness arise, she is there to support me with caring words, encouragement, and compassion. Her kindness and emotional support make a difference beyond medical care, reminding me that I am not alone.
