February 2014 Honoree
bryce bishop, RN
Bryce was my step-daughter's nurse when she came in with bad abdominal pain (she is now ok). I happened to be struggling with some personal issues at the time and was overwhelmed with life. I had just lost my job and was struggling with alcoholism. I had a mortgage and a family to support. Bryce noticed something was wrong without having me say anything. I asked him if we could talk so we went to a private area where we could speak. I told him about my hard times. He was able to give me some resources and mostly was someone who could just listen. In the past few weeks, I have been going to AA meetings and have been sober for 22 days. I want to thank Bryce for listening and guiding me in the right direction. He may have saved my life. Thank you again.
Thank you, Bryce, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
