When my sister and I met Tan, we knew our father was in good hands. Our father was recovering from a stroke he had about a month prior. Tan interacted with our father with true kindness, respect, and understanding. She made herself quickly approachable and interacted with our father in such a way that put us all at ease. Our father was re-admitted to the ICU the next day. When my mother arrived at our father’s room, Tan realized that no one was talking to our mom to explain what was happening and quickly went to her to explain everything. After Tan finished her shift from the previous night, she spent extra time with our mother and family. On the evening of Sunday, before her shift began, Tan came to the ICU to check on our father. This extra time Tan spent with our family clearly went above and beyond the call of duty. Tam was completely supportive at a time when it was needed most.
