Cailin was nominated for the DAISY Award by her patient's husband. Her acts of compassion, kindness, and sincerity truly impacted this family and the patient's plan of care:
C-section was never part of our birth plan, with a high-risk pregnancy, we still wanted to go natural. Well, life doesn't always go as planned but having Cailin transition from surgery to daily routine was a Godsend. Cailin added that human touch, that je-ne-sais-quoi that makes me believe in healthcare and not 'sick care' helping relieve her [the patient's] anxiety and fear of shame for accepting help. Cailin is a modern-day Florence Nightingale.
