September 2017 Honoree
caitlin dalzell, RN
My mother was in the ICU after being involved in a serious car crash. Caitlin was her nurse for several days. Even though my mother was unconscious for many days, Caitlin would talk to her and tell her what she was doing, and encourageher to get better. Caitlin was also attentive to the family members and visitors, offering to get us water or coffee, and gave my niece chocolate chip cookies one morning for breakfast (what teenager doesn't like that!). When mom was transferred to a regular room, Caitlin stopped by for a visit to see how mom was doing. Ourfamily knew mom was in good hands with Caitlin and appreciated her caring and compassionate demeanor. Mom also talked about how much she enjoyed having Caitlin as her nurse and asked that we make sure to thank her.
Thank you, Caitlin, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
