Being a nurse, unfortunately, is just a "job" to some. In Caitlin's case, it's far from that. Her compassion compares to not a single person we've experienced during any stay at FWCH. She switched days with someone so she could be my mother's nurse in her final days. She even came to see her on her day off because she knew we were beginning to start her comfort care. She'd always come in at least every hour just to hold her hand and ask if she/we needed anything. In the emotional times, she'd let us know she'd be praying for us. Everything she does is above and beyond. We never felt like she ever had other patients. She always took her time and never rushed in or out. Thank you, Caitlin!
