Caitlin took the time to get to know us as people and invested in building a relationship in a short time.
My wife and I received nothing but the best of care and compassion from each nurse whom we met on B6/6 during an 18-day stay. One nurse, in particular, stood out in our minds as the epitome of good nursing—Caitlin Hellenbrand. We met Caitlin early in our stay and then had her every day she worked until I was discharged. The ability to observe me over the course of the stay enabled Caitlin to notice changes, ask probing questions, and provide skilled nursing solutions to issues I faced. She was diligent in the care she provided, from careful communication with the PA and other team members, to very close monitoring and encouragement to my wife during a particularly difficult couple of days when during a fever I could not even remember the current President’s name. Beyond her professional excellence as a nurse, Caitlin took the time to get to know us as people and invested in building a relationship in a short time. We felt especially cared for and comfortable.
