My brother M moved to PA after living in Florida for 30 years. He moved back to be near my sister after the death of our oldest brother last year. After a week in another hospital, he was transferred to Presby with multiple health issues. Lung failure has been the biggest hurdle. Caitlin was our nurse when we came to the 10th floor. She looked in my brother's eyes and explained all she was doing at ALL times. She always was attentive to his needs. She was professional, caring, compassionate, and most of all KIND during a very scary and unpredictable beginning of our journey. I have been in the hospital every day with M and witnessed the kindness. When I was taking a day off to take care of some personal things I asked my brother when I should take off. Caitlin was changing one of my brother's IVs at the time. She told me she would be here on Saturday. M looked at me and said take off Saturday. Caitlin will be here :) I felt so comfortable and being able to leave was a huge relief. That evening was the last time I was able to talk to my brother off of a ventilator, but I am sure that he felt loved and cared for by a nurse who took his family's place. My sisters and I are grateful for Caitlin and I will personally not forget what she did and how she treated our family.
