When compassion and skill work together, you have a masterpiece. This describes Caitlyn to me-a Masterpiece! Her calm temperament and soothing nature made one of the scariest times of my life more tolerable. Constant attention by a good nurse may be just as important as the surgeon performing the procedure. Caitlyn did just that. She made me feel as though I was her only patient. Being a previous DAISY Award Honoree myself, I think she is the epitome of a DAISY Nurse. I think nursing chooses us; we don't choose nursing. Nursing has definitely chosen Caitlyn as one of its most special!
