Calai Elumalai consistently demonstrated strength, resiliency, clarity, resourcefulness, and kindness throughout the pandemic. Calai provided leadership guidance for safe patient placement and staffing during surge capacity. Calai never gave up her resolve to pursue excellence for herself, her team, or our patients.
In addition to day to day operational responsibilities, Calai also serves as our representative from the Nevada Market for CommonSpirit Health's Professional Nurse Practice Committee and has been instrumental with transitioning to Elsevier for Nursing practice guidelines.
Throughout all the challenges of the past year, Calai has remained steadfast as a resource and voice for Nursing, demonstrating professionalism and our core values of integrity, compassion, and excellence.
