Calli Nelson, BSN, RNC-MNN

Calli is my Nurse Leader on the postpartum unit, at Medical City Weatherford, TX. Calli is always happy, hard-working, and very thoughtful. For the staff on their birthday, she will make you feel very special by bringing treats before your special day or, a cake to the unit on your birthday while you are working. She is unlike any nurse manager I have ever worked under. She will send a text message to make sure all is going well during your shift. I work on the night shift and know that should I need anything at all big or small I can call her and she will answer and advise. Should our unit be short-staffed, Calli will come in and work a day shift or night shift on the postpartum unit as a staff nurse. This is a great character quality that not many have in today's society. I have witnessed Calli go on her lunch break to buy blankets and baby clothes for a postpartum family that had just lost everything in a tornado a few days before delivering their first baby. I am very humbled by the daily example of a servant's heart that Calli displays as a leader to our staff.
