I was hospitalized for 4 days on the COVID. I luckily didn’t have COVID but did have pneumonia and was very sick. The nurses were all very nice under the extreme circumstances they were working under, having to suit up, mask up and sterilize every time they came in the room.  Callie was my nurse Wednesday and Thursday. The difference between Callie and the other nurses was the pride she took in her work. She took the time to make my bed, straighten my room up, make sure there wasn’t paper all over the floor even though it wasn’t her job. She helped me take a shower and never made me feel like she was going out of her way. She always made sure she brought in freshwater when she came and her friendly attitude made all the difference in the world. When she came in to give me my IV antibiotics it was never just in and out. She made sure I didn’t need anything and made sure I went to the bathroom so I never had to wait. She’s the best nurse I’ve ever had and trust me, I’ve had many surgeries and been in the hospital many times.
