I was so proud of Callie and her sensitivity and caring. I was rounding in the ICU just as Callie was rounding up the night shift and day shift nurses and techs to sing Happy Birthday to a 90-year-old patient. In the night while the patient slept, Callie had taken the initiative to "decorate" the patient's room. She made "bouquets" out of rubber gloves, had balloons and posters. It was festive and over the top! All involved, including me, were touched by this demonstration of extraordinary care! Way to go Callie!
