Callie is one of those co-workers and nurses who just makes the day better. Knowing she is here just brightens my day. She has so much knowledge and experience with a patient who quickly and surprisingly decompensated. Callie was one of the first to respond to help. She was calm and skilled. The patient’s grandmother (who was here during the event) told me she was so thankful to have Callie there. Afterward, the grandmother asked me to check in on Callie because she knew even though Callie always knew what to do and had skills and confidence that she’d be a little shaken up. That’s part of what makes her so great and such a fantastic nurse. She is always willing to jump in and help and willing to go the extra mile for the kids and their families. She makes a difference every day. As a nurse who is her peer, she is someone I look up to. She is a true team player and someone who gives her all every day to provide a safe and positive workplace. The patients and families notice, too! Callie is one of the best!
