November 2025 Honoree
Cally Whittington, RN
Cally has been one of the lead nurses involved with one of our long-term, complex patients. She has implemented so much for the patient; she has been actively getting her off the ward to improve her well-being and allow her to have a change of scenery. She has been on our ward for many months and will be on the ward for much longer. She has also been applying for charity funds to help mum, as mum has another child with complex needs.
Cally has arranged for £400 to be spent on the girls for their birthday, which is amazing for Mum. Mum doesn't speak much English. She has no family in the country, and she has a mental health condition, so she struggles with the girls. Mum loves Cally so much and is always telling us that Cally is an angel. She has also arranged for the girls to have a birthday party in Magnolia House.
She is so compassionate and goes so far above and beyond. She is also such an amazing team player; she is always offering to help everyone on the ward. She embodies the values of trust in all she does, and she is a role model to us all. I am so proud of her to be a member of our team.
