Calvin had a patient that was COVID (+) with a severe PE that had been started on an Alteplase drip. The AMR time for patient transfer was more than 2 hours. HFD was called for transport and notified Calvin that Alteplase would have to be paused for transport or that the patient would have to wait for AMR. Rather than delay patient care, Calvin transported the patient with HFD in the ambulance to continue the Alteplase and did so with a smile on his face. He is a truly amazing and compassionate nurse!
