Cameron responded to a Code Gray for an elderly patient on the floor who was agitated, combative and escalating towards physical violence. Cameron was able to calm the patient and spent approximately 30 minutes with the confused patient talking to and calming him down until he fell asleep. Cameron was able to de-escalate the situation with his patience, kindness, compassion, and communication skills. Cameron is a great example of what a caring nurse and great coworker can be.
