From the time we got to the room with my dad after his surgery, which was a rather extensive tumor resection with stomach and esophageal reconstruction, chest tube placement, NG insertion, J tube replacement, etc., Cami was wonderful. After we got to the room, she not only took time in her busy nursing schedule to care for my dad, ensuring he was oriented to everything and well cared for, but she also did the same for my family and me.

Throughout his hospital stay, he had ups and downs, and the first few days post-op were by far the most difficult. He was not an easy patient, as he had a tremendous amount of pain, anxiety, and other medical issues. She continued to show her compassion throughout his admission and ensured he was as comfortable throughout this time as possible. It can truly make a difference in the entire hospital experience by having an amazing nurse, and our family understands how it can impact the outcome of one’s health. We are truly grateful to have had Cami as the nurse caring for my dad for the first 3 days after his surgery, as she went above and beyond each time she came into the room. As a medical provider myself, I know how blessed we were to have her!

Fortunately for me, and I'm sure for all her patients, there are countless situations when she has demonstrated her knowledge, wisdom, and caring spirit. She takes the time to explain the plan of care. She follows up and takes the fear and anxiety away. Her charisma, smile, and laughter all the time bring peace and hope to my heart. Just her personality and giving heart. My family and I will be forever grateful. She listens and believes me when I let her know about my migraines and or pain. There really are not enough words to express our gratitude towards Cami. She is very empathetic, graceful, and merciful. Her care and love towards others are immense.
