Camille is consistently awesome. We had an unexpected emergent c-hysterectomy today and Camille was a champion leader. Her performance today as charge nurse was not out of the ordinary for her, however, the situation was a reminder of how great a leader and nurse she is. Her communication with the entire team, ability to recognize the situation and help. Her knowledge of equipment and processes was invaluable. She went above and beyond for the patient (and her family) who tragically had a newly diagnosed Intra-Uterine Fetal Demise. She organized a viewing of the infant's body in the SICU so that the family could spend time with the baby. She is helping organize the paperwork and orders, keeping them safe in her office (given that the patient is currently intubated and cannot fill out the paperwork until later), so that there is consistency in care and nothing went missing or overlooked.
Camille consistently does more than her job description just to ensure patient's get excellent care. We are so lucky to have her at UH. I could not agree more regarding Camille and her excellent leadership style. She is a great leader and mentor here in WHS. She demonstrates incredible intuition and is always able to multitask and communicate profoundly with the team she is leading as well as interdepartmentally. She handles emergencies with great poise and confidence and is very aware of each and every situation, always anticipating ahead and naturally leads and assists her team in any way. This very sensitive patient case is just one example of her dedicated work and her ever striving nature to provide the quality of care and service to each and every patient and/or family. Camille exhibits every characteristic of Nursing Excellence and we are very proud to have her on our L&D management Team. Thank you, Camille.
