Camille Mitchell, RN
Camille is an extraordinary nurse whose compassion and dedication have left a lasting impact on both her patients and those fortunate enough to learn from her.
From the very beginning, she generously provided me with countless opportunities to learn and grow - always taking the time to explain, teach, and encourage my curiosity.
Equally remarkable is the empathy she demonstrates in her patient care. I was continually inspired by the way she would slow down and take extra time to sit with patients, answer their questions, and offer reassurance during some of the most difficult moments of their lives.
Her ability to make patients feel seen, heard, and comforted reflects the very best of nursing.
Camille's kindness, patience, and commitment to both healing and education have profoundly influenced me as a future physician, and I hope to emulate the compassion she displays every day.
She is exceptionally deserving of the DAISY Award and the recognition it represents.

Camille took care of my mom during two of the hardest days our family has ever experienced while she was in the ICU for a brain aneurysm.
From the moment she came into the room, she treated my mom with dignity, compassion, and genuine care. She was not only attentive to my mom’s medical needs, but also to our family’s emotional needs during such a heartbreaking and uncertain time.
She always took the time to explain what was happening, answered our questions with patience and kindness, and never made us feel like we were alone. Even in such a high-stress environment, she remained calm, compassionate, and incredibly supportive.
Small acts like repositioning my mom gently, speaking to her with respect, and comforting our family made a lasting impact on us.
