Canaan went above and beyond to make sure that the family of a dying Covid patient was able to visit. The attending physician was hesitant to put in an order for comfort care and the patient was clearly imminently dying, so she called me to make sure I knew about the consult and to see if there was any way to get the order. I gave her a verbal order, and the family was able to be at the bedside when the patient passed. So heartwarming to see someone who cares so much about her patients and families.
