November 2023 Honoree
Candace Miller, RN
I was very anxious about waking up from anesthesia after my surgery, and the first thing that I remember was Candace's happy face to greet me when I woke up. She helped me calm my anxiety down by doing coping skills with me (many, many times) and holding my hand to make me feel better. I was extremely anxious and don't think I could have calmed down as easily if Candace wasn't there holding my hand and talking me through it. I so greatly appreciate everything that she did for me, and it will stick with me for a long time. I know nursing is an extremely hard job, and her taking the time and care to help me means the absolute world to me. I talked to my family about Candace, and they also wish to pass their appreciation along for her. Thank you for making my heart so full.
Thank you, Candace, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
