Candace should be recognized for role-modeling extraordinary behavior as a leader!
Candace is an incredible asset to our leadership team, and she was handed an incredibly difficult task soon after she got here. The decision was made to eliminate the NICU services and change the model of care. While this service line direction was unexpected, Candace has been meticulous in her research as she created new guidelines and policies with a dedication to patient safety. She has been asked to navigate through contentious situations with physicians, staff, and patients throughout this process. Her positive attitude is an asset to her management skills as she deals with difficult situations with incredible poise and focuses on the positives.
She is firm, determined, and confident. Her attitude to work hard is not diminished in any situation, and her strong-mindedness and dedication are very much appreciated. She shows initiative in seeking solutions to problems and has gone beyond my expectations to find ways to reinvent who we are in the community. Because of her interaction with the couples who come for a tour, patients have chosen to have their babies at San Martin. She represents who we want to be in our community. I appreciate how she has motivated her staff to share the new vision of our service line and has worked diligently to change the culture of her unit and to align her team. Candace should be recognized for role-modeling extraordinary behavior as a leader!
