I am honored to nominate Candi Spear for the DAISY Award in recognition of her unwavering dedication, compassion, and advocacy for her patients.

Candi went above and beyond for a patient who was in dire need of surgery but faced a major obstacle—she was being denied proper nutrition by multiple providers, which prevented her from being eligible for the procedure. While others said no, Candi refused to accept that as the final answer. She fought tirelessly to ensure the patient received the necessary nutrition, giving her a fighting chance to proceed with the surgery.

Because of Candi’s relentless advocacy, this patient was able to undergo the procedure, one that more than likely saved her life. Her commitment to patient care, her compassion in the face of adversity, and her refusal to give up on those in need embody the very essence of what nursing is all about.

Candi is not just a nurse practitioner; she is a lifeline for her patients, a voice for the unheard, and a shining example of what it means to truly make a difference. She is more than deserving of the DAISY Award for her incredible dedication and the profound impact she has made in the lives of those she serves.
