Candice Schaper, MSN, RN, CFRN, CCRN, CEN, PHRN

Candice took over as the Chief Flight Nurse after the gut-wrenching loss of our previous leader. Candice stepped up to the challenge and led our team despite all of our grief. She led with courage, vulnerability, humility, and grace. She is the very best of us, and we all work hard knowing she is next to us to coach and support us along the way.

In an attempt to lighten the way that she took the role we performed a rose ceremony--think The Bachelor style---and each team member and our Medical Director (in a tux even) gave Candice a rose asking her to be our leader! It was a tearful and joyous moment! Candice works hard to advocate for not only the flight nurses, but also our Communication Specialists who ensure our safety while travelling via air or ground.
