Since I started my new role at HCA, Candy has been one of the nurses who represents an example of how nurses should behave. Nothing is too hard for her, every shift she is first to come and last to leave having wellbeing of patients on first place. She is kind and compassionate, and she will always take time to listen to patients no matter how busy or stressful her work day is. Candy knows all the patients on the ward, and she has kind words for everyone. As a new starter, I noticed that if I have any questions, no matter how small or silly they seem, Candy will answer and explain. I was most impressed by how she reacted when one gentleman came and said that his father in the car was unresponsive. Candy took a rescue trolley and helped until the ambulance arrived; she was professional and calm. In a word, Candy is an example of who a nurse should be.
