The DAISY Award is designed for extraordinary nurses- and our family has met one. Our daughter has been in the Medical Behavioral Unit (MBU) for few weeks. Candy has been the bright spot in our daughter's treatment. Perhaps it's her Hawaiian spirit of "Aloha"- the concept of "affection, peace, compassion, and mercy." But Candy is and has been that to our entire family. Her professionalism, thoughtfulness, and ability to care for our daughter has made a painful and tough hospitalization a supportive, nurturing, and loving experience. Our daughter beams when Candy enters the room. "Mom, Candy is here- She is the best." While the entire team at Rady's is extraordinary- Candy is a step above them all!
