Candy Zaranyika, RN
Candy Zaranyika was nominated for her comforting presence and thorough approach to patient care.
When a couple was admitted to Saint Agnes to deliver their first baby, they didn’t know what to expect. Luckily for the soon-to-be parents, veteran nurse Candy was supporting their labor and delivery.
“From the moment I met her, I was instantly comforted by her warm personality,” the patient says. “She was very patient and went above and beyond, taking the time to educate me on everything.”
Throughout the entire process, Candy provided comfort and support while continuing to keep the couple informed on next steps and answering all of their questions with compassion.
When the patient experienced discomfort, Candy listened and then advocated for the patient’s needs with the anesthesiologist.
“I firmly believe our experience would have been dramatically different had Candy not been our nurse,” the patient’s partner says. “The experience she provided was exemplary.”
