This first MedStar Southern Maryland Inaugural DAISY Team Award is presented to Marie Kabia, Francine Azobou, and Norman Brown for their tremendous efforts in settling in a new admission and making them feel comforted and cared for.

“I really am grateful for the time and care that my nurses truly made my care easy. I suffer from anxiety and high blood pressure, and the nurses knew my concern about the overwhelming experience this has caused me by using comforting words, respecting my wishes, and taking care of my needs as a patient. I really do appreciate healthcare workers and all their tremendous efforts to help patients like me to get back on the road to recovery here at MedStar Southern Maryland Hospital."
