Carey goes above and beyond to care for her patients. One day she was caring for an elderly male patient, who was very close to the end of life, no family was around him. She didn't want him to die alone but she had other patients. She made rounds to check on him as often as possible, but she wasn't at his bedside when he passed. The tears I saw running down her cheeks were evidence of so much compassion.
Carey's devotion, skills, and passion for her patients make a huge impression on the patients, family members and me. She takes time to educate me as well as the patients about the plan of care. She has a positive attitude and demonstrates professionalism. She goes above and beyond to care for the needs of her patients. She is a prime example of teamwork. She is never too busy to assist anyone. She deserves the DAISY Award because of her kind professional and exceptional care.

I know and I feel like Ms. Mullis is a well deserving person for this award. She's kind and goes beyond her call of duty for her patients and co-workers. I am a person that doesn't have the ability to care for some of my personal needs. She's right there whenever that call button goes off. She has good nursing skills, I notice she greets you like a person, glad to see you. She examines you from head to toe. This nurse makes your day when you are down and she picks you up. I would like for others to be the nurse she is. She's a wonderful role model for a young nurse. Most young ones are not like Ms. Mullis; those who walk in her footsteps will make good nurses. She made this trip to the hospital a good stay for me. I feel deep down in my heart she should receive the DAISY Award. She is what you call a great, great, super extraordinary nurse. Crown her with the DAISY Award.
