I was admitted to Tanner on Wednesday with Rhabdomyolysis. I was scared and uncertain what the outcome would be as I had never heard of this condition, but Carisa went above and beyond to ensure I felt safe, understood what was going on inside of my body, and that my fears were eased. I’ve been here for a week and I have seen Carisa almost every day of my stay every single day she made sure to take care of me, sit in my room, and talk to me just to keep me company, provide me with anything and everything I needed, and so much more.

Carisa always checked up on me, kept me updated on my lab work and other concerns I had, and made me comfortable by treating me like a friend or family rather than just another patient. She has taken tremendous care of me during my time here and I couldn’t ask for a better nurse. In times when things are scary and uncertain it’s important to still find the good in the bad situations and I was lucky enough to have a nurse that never ceased to make me laugh or smile even during my bad days. Carisa is so deserving of this nomination and I hope her hard work, kindness, and dedication to their patients do not go unrecognized!
