Carissa Gascon's excellent nursing practice on a recent flight to London, for a 12-year-old-boy, saved his life. When a fellow passenger stood up holding his son asking "Does anyone know CPR, my son is dying!" Clarissa responded immediately and assisted the boy. She was confident in her basic life support skills and focused on doing the right thing. She was able to resuscitate the boy and recommended to the flight's captain to divert the plane to land at the nearest airport so that the boy could have a follow-up evaluation at a hospital.
