Carla listened to concerns about my son's pain with compassion but also followed up with the Aero Team and conveyed my concerns. That started the ball rolling and eventually got my son the surgery that he needed. It is not a typical issue and my son is nonverbal so figuring it out was challenging for everyone. Carla heard me and acted. I was so discouraged and felt helpless to help my son. Having someone hear you is sometimes enough to give you strength to keep at it.
Carla impacted not only my son's life but his whole family. The pain my son was experiencing was so difficult for everyone involved to witness. We could not stop the pain and he was at the limit with his pain medication. Asking the questions to tease out what may be going on, helping us be aware of increases or decreases in symptoms, helping us understand meds and reactions.
My son is a different person now that he does not have pain. It has healed our family. It was so frustrating and painful to watch our son suffer for 2 years.
By listening and carrying that message to her team, strategies were then able to be put into motion which led the team to resolve his pain issue. It is a transformative miracle that she started by her intention to help others. Carla listened!
