April 2022 Honoree
Carla Greene, LPN
A few nurses that stand out, go above and beyond, they assess deeper of the patient's needs and concerns to find resolution and advocate for the patient for quick relief. They also take the time to meet the patient’s psychosocial needs in such small tasks that means so much to the patient. They are personable with the family to let them know proper information on what is going on with their loved one. They let the patient know what meds they are given and due the next time. She double checks the patient’s needs in the middle of giving meds out. She goes to assist other coworkers as they need help with patients that are not hers to make sure the shift goes smoothly and; works well as a team. She works to make sure the team is successful. She shows the family members what they can do to help their loved ones out, get better quickly and get back to their life. She does her job in the most professional manner with all patients, to the best of her ability. She shows no one more attention than the other unless it is required. To the best of her ability, she takes each patient’s concerns and handles them in the most professional way no matter who they are or the background they came from.
Thank you, Carla, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
