I needed Carla’s help yesterday and she was so amazing. I had an agitated, elderly patient with dementia. Carla sat down with her and was able to speak with her calmly. She deescalated the situation and we were able to prolong giving the patient antipsychotics. Watching the gentle way Carla spoke to her was very encouraging. Not everyone knows the best way to handle agitated dementia patients, but she was great. She was willing to help every time I called her that shift. She is always positive, approachable, and helpful. I think Soin is lucky to have her as a supervisor.
