We loved having her as our lab instructor. She was a ray of sunshine that brightened up our crappy mornings after coming to her class from the stress of simulations. She would also take the time for the first few minutes of class each week to answer any questions we had about anything, including didactic material. Because she'd take the time to do this, we would get more out of both didactic and skills lab. She presented a fun learning environment where we always felt safe to ask questions and practice skills without judgment. I firmly believe Professor Carla is not there for herself or for praise, but very much there for students and their progression toward being fantastic RNs. Carla is an angel. She wants the environment to be as stress-free as possible and for all of us to just have fun and learn. She always has an amazingly positive attitude. She knows that we have a lot on our plates in the third semester, so she really guides us during lab and makes it really fun. She is an amazing person, and I wouldn’t want anyone else as my teacher.
