Our awardee for this year, Carlee George, has shown so much growth throughout her time in the program. In one faculty member’s words, “she puts forth 110% effort in all her classes and is consistently one of the hardest working students.”

In another’s words, “She goes out of the way to support her classmates and took on extra assignments with extra driving just to get the best experiences.”

Her clinical evaluations contained the following: You have a calm demeanor that is especially helpful in the field, when things can go wrong so quickly! You have a kind and caring aura, and it is evident in your interactions with other teammates and patients.

Her compassion extends beyond the academic and clinical arena, In her personal life, this student also took care of her grandma this fall during a time when she was acutely ill. She went in and out of isolation taking special care of herself and her grandma. In each of these settings, she demonstrates excellence, skill, and compassion."
