I came in due to an eye injury. Permanent hair dye got into my eyes, and I had to get 1000 milliliters of an eye solution, which took about two to three hours. When I was told that I would have to get an eye drop contact put into my eyes, I got very nervous and scared, even being 19.

Carlee saw this and was my voice to the doctors and nurses. When I was too scared to talk, she let my fiancé hold my hand and walked me through the process. When they inserted the eye contact drops, I started to cry and shake. She held my hand for nearly 2 hours and asked me if I was okay, and continued to be my voice for me. This was very important for me, being shy and very quiet in stressful situations.
