An exceptional nurse who demonstrates caring compassion towards her patients. This connection was very important for a recent patient who was facing the end of life. Carley took time to be present and develop a relationship with the patient and her husband. In their conversations she learned they had been married for more than 50 years and she took special care to provide support during this part of their journey together. She helped to guide them as they got ready for discharge to home hospice. Our Nurse Manager was not surprised when Patient Advocacy called to tell us they had received a call from the husband telling them his wife had passed and thanking us and especially Carley for her caring that truly made a difference in the last days of his wife's life.
