Carley Jahnke, RN

I brought my 2.5-year-old son to Urgent Care today. I am a nursing student, and Carley showed me that you don’t have to be a pediatric nurse to get on the same level as a two-year-old. In every encounter with the nurses and NPs today, my little guy put his head into my shoulder and refused to talk to anyone but Carley. She was compassionate, kind, patient, and fun. My son truly connected with her. As a nursing student, I am always very observant of nurse-patient encounters. It is not every day that you see nurses who take the time to connect with their patients and don’t just mean business. I normally don’t do things like this, but I felt driven to submit a nomination for Carley because good nurses should NEVER go unrecognized. Thank you Carley for being an awe-inspiring nurse!
