Upon admission for my wife's scheduled induction of our first son, Carley Moothery was assigned as our nurse and immediately made an impression upon my wife and me. She asked detailed questions about our thoughts and concerns and reassured us that our questions were valid. She gave very helpful, encouraging answers, and found out that my wife had experienced past trauma which increases her stress.
Carley exercised the utmost respect, patience, empathy, and consideration of my wife's privacy and mental state during potential anxiety-inducing procedures, such as checking dilation. She also never failed to keep me as the husband and support person informed and involved with every step on the process. She was with us constantly leading up to the delivery, conversing casually with us and educating us on what to expect as well as constantly attending to my wife and ensuring she was comfortable. When it came time for my wife to push, Carley assumed the role of coach and cheerleader flawlessly. She was upbeat and highly communicative.
As the Doctor arrived near the final stages of the delivery, and the room became a flurry of activity, Carley remained our communication lifeline and somehow amidst the controlled chaos found time to grab my wife's phone so that the moment our son arrived and was placed upon my wife's chest, Carley was ready to capture the most amazing moment in our entire lives on camera for us to save and cherish.

Throughout the initial recovery process and until the end of the day, Carley remained extraordinarily attentive and present, congratulating us and sharing in our joy. To cap our outstanding experience with her, she returned the following day, after she was no longer assigned to us, to check our comfort and progress. My wife and I were blown away overall by her level of love and care and will speak of our experience with her doubtless for years to come.
