My mom has been in the ICU, and Carley was her nurse during the day shift. My mom had a very traumatic injury, which is currently leaving us scared, nervous, anxious, and all the above emotions. Carley has been nothing but kind, compassionate, professional, caring, respectful, and extremely knowledgeable at her job. She has been a ray of sunshine in a time that has been extremely dark for our family. My family and I have been non-stop talking about how much we love her. She truly feels like family to us and has never once made us feel like we were asking her too much or too little. She has made sure to check in on us and made sure we understood all the information that was given to us. You can feel it off of her. She feels so positive to be around and feels so confident in this intensive setting. She makes us feel okay about leaving when we are hungry or even if we happen not to be there in the morning before visiting is open to us. We have never felt more confident in having someone look after my mom and know and trust everything she does. We now have more smiles and more hope going into each day, knowing she is my mom's nurse. I'm writing this on her Friday, and we are very saddened to see her go. I know she needs the days off like the rest of us. We honestly look forward to seeing Carley every day. She has done so much for me and my family, and I hope my mom gets through this.
