Carli was very professional and caring. When all of the other medical people were misgendering me and ignoring my chosen name, Carli didn't. To me, that was very meaningful because she respected my identity in a very simple way. Being trans/two-spirited in a hospital is extra painful because of the added discomfort transphobia brings to people like me. Of my many caregivers, she was the most real one. Thank you!
