Carlos provided me with compassion, kindness, and care. My health, comfort, and care were priorities and important. He remembered all I needed and all of my requests. He never seemed as though I was a bother to him. And none of my needs were too small or too big. All of my needs were equally important. He explained everything very simply and easily so I could understand my care and medication. He was not rushed but accomplished everything in a timely manner. I have no doubt he can treat a whole family of all ages, as I saw him treating young and elderly patients equally and wonderfully with dignity and kindness, and patience. He treated me and assisted me with a few situations known to be extremely embarrassing situations. I experienced a panic attack while in Carlos’s care and he went out of his way to help me calm down in an attempt to keep my panic attack from escalating. He talked with me with care and helped me to breathe more calmly. He made it clear to me that how I was feeling in pain, scared and sad was very important and made me feel comfortable about opening up to him about my health concerns and some horrible experiences I’ve had. He was equally wonderful, kind, and helpful on other shifts while he was not designated to be my nurse. Also, he helped me speak to and clear up a problem I was having with a discharge manager.
