November 2021 Honoree
Carly Ahern, RN, CEN
My father was brought to BDMC by ambulance due to a fall at home. Carly was his trauma nurse until he went to ICU. Carly is kind, gentle, and knowledgeable. She was very patient with my father who can be difficult at best! She was able to keep us informed and calm. Carly used ultrasound to help place both of his IVs. She was so sincere and professional. We were treated just like a royal family. The last year has been so difficult and stressful due to COVID-19. Her heart is big and she’s willing to go the extra mile to take care of her patients, first, and their loved ones, second. Our hats go off to this young woman and all that she does daily to keep us healthy and safe and the hospital a place of healing and recovery. She is an outstanding trauma room nurse. You need more trauma nurses like Carly! Thank you, Carly, for taking care of my father and me. You sure made a difference in our lives. To Carly’s family, thank you for sharing your mom, wife, daughter, and friend with us.
Thank you, Carly, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
