My daughter C, who is three years old, was admitted after surgery. She was so scared she wanted to go home, but from the time we entered our room, her nurse, Carly, was right there to ease her mind. Carly went to child life to get some toys for C to play with. Our daughter began to calm down and was more comfortable knowing she would be having a sleepover with Mommy and Daddy at the hospital. Carly continued to come in and check on her. Our daughter had an accident in the bed & her IV was bleeding; this really scared her, but Carly treated our daughter and was able to calm her down from the scary sight of her IV bleeding. She helped us wash our daughter and change her clothes and bedding after her accident. Carly is truly amazing. She is a very caring person. The hospital needs more nurses like Carly. Thank you, Carly, for everything. My daughter and I would love to be there to see you be honored.
