April 2018 Honoree
Carly Moran, BSN, RN
Our son is a preschooler and has been receiving treatment for Stage 4 Neuroblastoma. Carly has been a bright light through the most terrifying time of our lives. She is energetic, light-hearted, and silly while also being extremely competent as a Nurse. Due to a treatment complication, my son suddenly lost hearing in one ear and was at risk of losing it in his other ear as well. We knew he could go totally deaf at any moment, so we frantically started learning sign language. We were surprised to find that Carly started watching sign language videos at her own home, and soon knew more than we did - all to ensure that she would be able to help us as much as possible if our son lost his hearing. This was beyond meaningful to us and just one example of how Carly goes above and beyond to care for all her patient's needs.
Thank you, Carly, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
